Easily Entertained
Hi, I’m Jerri Howell (she/her), a Japanese-American, LA based Pop Culture Producer and Street Photographer who is easily entertained.
Easily Entertained is a mix tape of footage, personal photos, videos, iconic moments and cultural artifacts I’ve collected as a Producer and bicoastal fashion blogger, paired with topical stories.
Why subscribe? Think of it as Jerri TV.
I’ll be posting short, raw multimedia stories about working behind the lens, plus fashion trends, hi/low shopping, thrifting and home/living hacks. I’ll be dropping lo-fi video series that you didn’t even know you needed. Maybe it’s even a #mood?
I attribute my taste to an insatiable curiosity that I think will ultimately entertain you. I’ll also be sharing a wide variety of curated content, most culled from off the beaten path.
You’ll discover that I’m a non linear thinker with a quirky eye. I see stories every time I turn my head and snap infinite images and video clips all day, every day (and license many of these clips via Getty, detailed in my below BIO).
In my first post, I compare my style of marrying the past and present to bite size multimedia story sliders. My first two weeks launched with: Nicki Minaj, Jenna Lyons, a META moment, and some surprises.
I’ve launched with lighter fare, and 2024 stories will start digging a little deeper as we get to know each other, mkkkkk.
Free subscribers will get access to any unlocked stories, some videos and select series episodes.
Paid subscribers will get access to all stories, audio and video series, any digital downloads and community.
Background Bio:
At the core, I’m a storyteller, personally and professionally, and have had a hand in producing hundreds of hours of film, television and digital content.
Technically, I’m currently an Executive Producer/Showrunner and have been a hired gun for a wide variety of cable + digital networks after ascending the ranks as a Programming Executive. My favorite projects have been the two I co-created for Jennifer Lopez. The odds are good that you’ve seen a series that my previous companies created while I was at ABC/Disney, 20th Century Fox Television Studios as a Comedy Development Exec, Vh1 on an Overall Deal or E! Networks, where I specialized in irreverent pop culture series.
Street Fashion became an itch I had to scratch and I briefly moved to NYC as a freelancer at the height of blogging so I could be closer to New York Fashion Week Shows. I ended up getting photos published in VOGUE Turkey, VOGUE Germany, Elle Girl Japan, Glamour Italia, Cosmo and The New York Times (above the fold!).
I shoot the gamut, from fashion and lifestyle to human behavior and political protests. A variety of these video clips, via Getty Images, have been licensed by VICE Media, Viacom, NBC Universal, CNBC, A&E Networks, Yahoo!, Condé Nast and POTUS.
