Shabon - 4 Favorite Vintage Finds
After 24 years in the same spot, Shabon just moved to Melrose yesterday
Shabon is a favorite vintage shop and an LA style staple for the last 24 years. In my earlier executive years, I bought a couple of my best small Gucci bags from them, along with cool blazers and cuffs. They’re just the epitome of excellent curators. They just moved their shop from a hip corner of Beverly Blvd, where Gallery Dept also originated, to a higher end spot not far from Melrose Place.
I knew they moved, but found the actual location by accident while I was running errands and popped into their shop as they were telling two Gen Z girls that they had just opened their doors that day.
Please go check them out if you’re avid vintage shopper and show this shop some love. I couldn’t take wide photos of the entire small shop or it would’ve been disruptive, but did shoot 4 of my favorite unique finds:
1. An artfully pattern blocked MAISON MARGIELA Clutch
2. Yohji Yamamoto crystal embellished slippers
3. Gucci wooden sandals with a Dr. Scholl’s vibe
4. I’m ending with a classic beaded FENDI BAGUETTE bag that packed a punch
