Tonight’s the night! There’s nothing I look forward to after Succession airs quite like racing to their outfit intel all over the internet, especially #1-3. Plus, I used to love to hate Greg (the cringey bumbling), but he’s grown on me - and he’ll grow on you, too -- especially after you see #5.
Below, I’ve posted 7 Good Things Around the Cult of Succession. Consider becoming a free or paid subscriber and/or sharing the link with the cool kids.
1. Substack Writer and Fashion Insider, Amy Odell, Does Addicting Recaps on Succession’s Wardrobe Choices
BACK ROW fashion and culture writer, Amy Odell, publishes interesting weekly Succession recaps on what the characters wore on the show, with inside info on how the costume designer and stylists deftly symbolize the key actors’ character arcs. Here’s an example from “Kill List,” the past episode’s trip to Norway, in which Tom’s shoes had a co-starring role.
2. Then, follow Odell over to TikTok. Below, she details Alexander Skarsgård’s character, Lukas Mattson.

I’m especially drawn to following Greg’s fashion ascent since he’s been failing up:
3. Then, Dive Deeper on IG’s successionfashion,
Odell also referenced them in her latest post. I love that their IG says 🚫 Interviews and asks followers to refrain from asking for details of additional clothing. This definitely looks like a full time job and I appreciate the account as a fun escape from recession reality.
4. Trust that there are many Magazine Recaps
Digital Magazines must love the affiliate funds from these high end clicks.
Did you see this episode, with the compression socks and white sneaker insults?
By the way, whenever I got new white sneakers as a kid, I did my best to quickly beat them up. It drove my Japanese mother crazy and yet, somehow, they ended up at 100% again. I tried.
5. This happened on stereogum:
I must’ve watched this 20 times and behind the scenes should have been it’s own sub series. Gen Z’ers don’t know what they’re missing without the DVD extras, am I right? Everyone is curious who the crew member is on the left. She has a cool vibe. Did you catch Brian Cox sliding by in the background?
6. To note: Greg (Nicholas Braun) has his own cult following on IG @deuxmoi
When I followed @deuxmoi in the past (caveat: I haven’t skimmed the IG in a couple years), there was a surplus of Nicholas Braun NYC sightings and dating gossip. If you love him, follow them.
7. Greg Co-Owns Ray’s Bar in NYC with Justin Theroux (and many, many other Food & Beverage heavies).
For the last episode, Braun’s lower east side bar (with a speakeasy downstairs) proclaimed last Sunday as GOJO NIGHT (Skarsgard’s fictional company) and added this campy art to their ‘dive bar.’ What’s the theme tonight, you think? I’d love to hit a “Succession Sundays at Ray’s” night, but don’t think it’ll happen before the finale.
Spoiler Alerts Ahead
Did you watch it last week? Were there any red herrings on the corporate kill list? Who’s going to be sacrificed and when? If you don’t watch it, it’s worth a binge.
This is one of the few series I watch with earbuds to catch all the minutia and I like to lean in, with no distractions.
I can’t wait for tonight.
Will Shiv have an inside track with Mattson now that she pretended to do coke with him and texted a photo of her brothers’ reaction to his offer? (She just stirred the glass spoon around the vial and never did partake since she’s pregnant, right?)
