Casual Friday: Mellow Yellows and Subliminal Messages

I recently passed a sign that was flashing LIVE BETTER. I did a double take and it actually said USE DETOUR. I received the subliminal message loud and clear. <3

CASUAL FRIDAY: Hints of Mellow Yellow in Torrance and Beverly Hills

I had to run to Torrance because I’m building a more efficient pantry in my kitchen closet and someone had the exact size shelves I had envisioned, but for only 20 bucks vs the $345 metal shelf I earmarked. Success.

I popped into a thrift shop on my way out of Torrance (naturally). I loved his IKEA big bag + mini bag vibe with the 2 fuzzy animals attached (a Tokyo trend I dug during my 2012 visit). It also reminded me of the Trader Joe’s tote within a tote current craze.

In Beverly Hills, I lost my mind over her Bottega Veneta shearling tote ($3,700) and her jeans were cute, too. I wish I had never spotted this because now I’m pining for a similar one.

I have to exclude a couple more yellow outfits that I’m now incorporating into art print concepts, but here’s a street shot, on theme:
